Why lawyers need the internet
If only generating new cases, even better – BIG CASES, were as easy as putting on a magic cape. Unfortunately for cape sellers everywhere, it’s not that easy. But fortunately for law firms across the country, it’s not as difficult as it seems.
In a recent video that is posted on my You-Tube page, I talk about why an effective internet marketing strategy is essential to the success of law firms. Until recently, lawyers relied on yellow pages advertising to generate new client leads. Far too many of them spent tens of thousands of dollars every month to ensure that their ad was seen. However, across the county, attorneys are starting to notice that these ads are not generating the same return on their investment that they have come to expect.
So what’s next? Enter the dapper attorney wearing the cape of an effective website and internet marketing strategy.

Absolutely, and as a matter of fact they already are trying to come up with new internet solutions like websites and Pay-Per-Click advertising options. The only challenge is they are novices in the art of internet advertising for lawyers.

I was at a small party recently and a debate started about an issue. The host immediately Googled the question and settle the question. The Internet has become an integral part of our lives. It is only natural that people use the Internet to find professional services. Yellow Pages was a tool people used but was never an integral part of people’s lives.

Great post (and video!) Stephanie — just tweeted as well. I think we’re going to see a last ditch effort this year and next by the yellow pages to come up with something, anything, to keep their businesses alive, which doesn’t involve printing paper books.
